Comprehensive Teacher Training

The BASI Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training Program gives students in-depth knowledge of Pilates theory, exercises, and skills to teach advanced-level clients on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, F2 Spine Corrector, F2 Arm Chair, Ped-a-Pul, Mat, and other auxiliary apparatus.

Graduates of the Comprehensive Program are well equipped for a successful, enduring career in the Pilates industry and are qualified to take the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) exam to become a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT).

ProBridge Program

Pilates Professionals with a Comprehensive Teacher Training certificate from another education program are entitled to a $1000 Probridge discount. BASI Mat Graduates can apply the full amount of their Mat Program fee to the Comprehensive Program.

Mentor Program

This 3-day course is the first phase of the Legacy Program, Rael’s voyage of discovery to the extreme edges of the Pilates Method with the most accomplished of his colleagues and students. The Mentor Program is for seasoned professionals who want to hone their teaching skills and study at the highest levels of the work. During this very personal experience, Rael shares the skills and lessons he has learned over four decades at the peak of the profession.

Prerequisites: Completion of BASI or another recognized comprehensive teacher training program and minimum of 3 years teaching experience (2 years for BASI qualified teachers).

Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies Part 2

Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies Part 2: Chronic Pain Syndromes & Neurological Conditions. This two-day intensive course builds upon the foundation laid in “Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies”, delving into chronic pain conditions and neurological diseases, such as Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke.

 

Designed for Pilates instructors seeking to broaden their expertise, this course offers invaluable insights into working with clients facing complex health challenges.

Note: While this course complements BASI’s "Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies” course, it is designed as a standalone course. Prior attendance of Part 1 is not required to fully benefit from this course.
